Easi-Chelsea Artificial Grass Installation – Brentwood Essex
As you will see from the pictures this smaller sized garden create challenges itself purely by the layout, location and the removal of a pond from the garden area that was to be fitted with Easigrass. Prior to confirming this job for fitting, the Easigrass Essex & Herts office had to work closely with the client to get pre-approval on parking from the local council at the front of property due to the location and restrictions that were enforce. Once approval had be sought a fitting date was given and the work began. As this had an old pond that needed removing and infilled, the first step was to drain the water from the pond and infill the pond with over 8 tons of MOT type one and soil. This had to be compacted down after every ton part had been put in to get the stability of the level, but also to stop subsidence in the future months.
The garden itself had an incline via steps which was then enclosed by sleepers running the entire width as the client had requested the level of the grass be in line with the level of the coping stones that was just in front of the grassed area. The client had two small children so he wanted us to eradicate any potential trip hazards that could be caused when coming on or off the grassed area. Once our fitting team was happy with the sleepers that had been installed and the levels these gave, they then used Core aluminium edging to create two “Waved” borders down each side. These were going to be infilled with large white pebble stones which the client had chosen as the decorative stone to be used. Then it was time to infill the rest of the garden area with the remaining Mot type one and then granite dust. The level the team managed to get with this garden was perfect, with a slight back to front slope of the garden, keeping the gradient the client wanted but this was also done to assist with the drainage of the grass.
The grass was fitted with the pile facing the house and finished around the edges with a tuck and pin to secure the grass firmly in place. The team then finished off the grass fitting with the dry kiln silica sand to help stand the grass fibres up properly. The client was very happy and remarked “ this is unbelievable, I am over the moon with that, a total transformation! Thank you to Easigrass and the fitting team
