Artificial Grass Installation – Fobbing, Essex

This was a 5 day semi dry fitting of 670m2 rear garden area. A team of 5 Easigrass Essex fitters oversaw the transformation of this garden, having had the initial base levels of MOT type one laid by the contractor of this newly built house.

The team had to ensure the base was at the correct level first so movement of some of the MOT had to be done. Once this was completed and the right levels in the garden had been achieved with the MOT type one, 20 tons of Granite dust was delivered and moved into the garden area screeded off and then compacted down to assist with the drainage but also to give the base level a nice level for the grass fitting. Once this had been completed the 670m2 of Easi-Mayfair grass was put into place, cut, seamed and joined together meticulously by the team to ensure the pile direction faced all the same way, but also to ensure the joins lines were not visible. This was then tucked and pinned to ensure of a firm holding of the grass around all the edges before being prepared for the 100 (25kg) bags of Kiln Dried Silica sand was spread evenly through the top of the grass using our Easi-Sand spreader and with our special rotary brushes, brushed the Sand deep into the base of the Mayfair grass. This allows for the grass to be weighted down, helps keep the pile standing up correctly and acts as the first part of drainage, drawing the water away from the top surface.

Once all the above had been completed, the team then give the whole area a good clean up, leaving the area looking as if we were never there. They at all times, check with the client to make sure they are happy with the fitting during and after the process, with any final touches being done before getting the customer satisfactory sheet signed off by the client. The client on this fitting was extremely happy with his new Easigrass Garden.
